White Activism is Jealousy.
You see people upset at the dangers of wealth inequality, I see people who are upset they aren’t the ones stuntin.’ You see women fighting for the rights and fair treatment of ALL women, I see disgruntled white women who will and have abandoned you once their partner in crime gives them the whip.
Perspective or perception? Both are a motha — but mine come with examples.
This is just one recent shining example of white activism. I wouldn’t label myself an environmentalist but as someone who is part of the 80% referenced in Ackerman’s tweet, I view that as a climate hero doing their part and I wonder why a self proclaimed environmental activist not view that as the same. If your activism is sincere, you’d despise the filthy rich, not envy them.

If your brand of activism is based on jealousy, you’re not an ally or activist.
