They’d Rather Support Nazi’s Than Support Black LGBT+ Americans.
I had to write and publish this during pride month although these words and thoughts will remain past June. Boston doesn’t have a pride parade scheduled for this year because the former leader of the committee, a gay white man, was exposed of being racist and transphobic (shocker, right?). He “stepped down” as the committee lead and I’m more so surprised that the response wasn’t to have a black transperson be the new lead and carry the torch for the “all inclusive” city that is Boston, Massachusetts, but I figured even they knew that move would’ve been too on the nose to believe that it was a natural decision made not based on platitudes. I mention all of this because Bostonians won’t experience a pride parade this year unless they go to another city or on social media. I was one who shamefully decided to stay in this perfumed doused shit city and not partake in pride live. Not that seeing what I saw online in person would’ve made a difference because what I witnessed was a bunch of “progressives” wave the flag of white supremist. Surprising? No. White supremacy isn’t just a straight white guy thing and as proven with the local scandal behind the Boston pride parade committee, members of a marginalized group such as the queer community can be anti-black and harbor hatred for members within their own community.
How else will you explain a sign of solidarity to a country that is anti-queer? Meanwhile here in America, millions of Queer Black Americans had the chance to get a fighters chance at reparations and yet candidates fighting to make that happen did not receive high support from the LGBTQIA+ community. Diplomacy? You mean to tell me the same group of weirdos who don’t want to allow free speech and freedom of choice to those who hold different opinions are “diplomatic?” Other comments under Ngo’s tweet suggest the “progressive potential” of the Azov Battalion lead Nazi state that is Ukraine. What about the potential of progress being made by the many black Americans in the queer community? Where’s the support for them? “Well there’s still people of the LGBT+ community who deserve our help and support in Ukraine.” There are black members of the LGBT+ community in America who could’ve used that help and support.
Admit It.
What you’re saying is you’d rather support white supremacy than to see non-white, non “other” LGBT folks get what is owed to them. White supremacy has evolved and become more inclusive, but one thing remains the same in its many different forms, blacks are our slaves and deserve nothing. I really want my beloved black queer people to divest from the white led/white agacent led LGBT community. I’m not saying give up their queer identity and solely focus on issues and matters relating to their blackness. I’m saying recognize that these supposed “allies” can’t and won’t fully denounce white supremacy with actions, so you shouldn’t denounce pro-blackness. For Destiny Child’s sake, THEY ARE SUPPORTING NAZI’S! Does that convince you enough?
