I’ve been on here since 2017 (I think). It’s been longer than a few years, that’s all I know. I can probably look into my medium blog’s birthday, but I’ve done enough deep diving on this blog. I at least deserve this one and final time of “lazy writing.”
I’ve never been good at saying goodbye so I’ve ghosted and peace signed my way out of hostile and unwanted relationships. Not that this relationship is hostile, but I do not want to keep writing for free on here anymore, so it is an “unwanted relationship.” This is me saying “peace” to publishing pieces on Medium.
Why?
Well ask medium. Why have they numerously moved the goal post to keep “overly opinionated” and “unconventional” writers like myself from getting pennies (dimes at best) for the work we do/have done on here? Are they that desperate, a monthly payout of 10 cents is hurting their pockets? They really shouldn’t be in business if that is the case, but it’s not.
Straight from the medium rare dragon’s mouth. In order to qualify to get paid one here, one must buy into their subscription service. I see through the ploy and I’d take time to call it out, completely, but I’m not allowing Medium to to profit off of another brilliantly stated rant from me.

Why??
I’m focusing 100% of my time as a writer on my current WIP’s (works in progress) because they’ll add to my dream of being a paid creative writer and at least feel better writing for free on a platform that pretends to care about the creators.
BUT DON’T FRET!
This isn’t my last blog post and I’m not done with blog writing for good. This is just one of my last pieces on here. I’ve douns another medium to publish my blog pieces on and I will share that link on my LAST submission here. Hopefully you’ll follow me there as well. It’s free. I’ll still leave this blog activated because I’m still getting a lot of reads on older pieces I’ve written. Had a conversation with somebody. a month ago, a possible business partner and we might do something on here. More on that if or when that ever becomes a thing.
For now, I’ll just leave you all with some soul food.
