Liberals Are the Real Jokers (Clown Asses).

I can understand being scared. One of my favorite sayings is “better safe than sorry” but if that was the approach I had right before going to the movies I’d stay my black ass at home, because you know, better safe than sorry and my black ass doesn’t feel safe in a movie theater with multiple cops armed with militarized weapons. But unfortunately (maybe fortunately to you) this post isn’t about my safety. This is about those who got on Republican politicians and their blind supporters for blaming video games for mass shootings but are now agreeing with those old fart bags about a movie. I haven’t seen the Joker Movie yet, but I have seen people mention things about crowds walking out of the theater demanding that the theater bans the movie. Something about it “glorifying” gun violence and mental illness. Tell me how this argument is any different from the Republicans who place blame on video games?

The only difference is the political party these people align themselves with. Just like Republicans do with video games these “liberals” want to do away with everything THEY don’t understand. The old Republicans who blame video games for mass shootings don’t fuck with video games in the first place so they’re not going to be objective when it comes to thinking about why these shootings occur. I believe the liberals are doing the same thing. The ones upset about this movie really have no idea who the Joker is and only went to see the movie because of the social media hype surrounding it and the character himself. Now they want to cancel the Joker because they don’t get it. Just like old Republicans and video games.

Every time these situations happen I ask the same questions. How would you feel if somebody wanted to do away with an interest of yours because they did not understand or like it? Nobody is going to say they are okay with people “canceling” their interests so then I ask “why can’t you put yourself in their shoes before trying to cancel an interest of theirs when you can simply just not partake in said interest?”

Final Say.

I’m not saying people shouldn’t vocalize their dislike or disdain for something. But you wanting movie theaters to stop showing an entire movie because YOU didn’t like it is asinine. At the end of the day that’s what it really boils down to, whether you liked it or not. Not that it “glorifies” gun violence because the music you listen to, the books you read, the shows you watch, the other movies you’ve seen have probably depicted violence and you don’t want to do away with them and if you’re really someone who doesn’t consume art that depicts violence yet you CHOSE to go see the Joker movie, whose fault is that, boo boo? This “traumatic experience” is your fault. If you didn’t know anything about the Joker prior to watching this film you should have/could’ve done your research. Aint no one to blame for your ignorance but yourself. Just like there isn’t anyone or anything to blame for the acts of Mass murderers than the murderer themselves. I need everyone, Republican, Liberal or not to look in the mirror, remove your clown makeup and have an honest deep conversation with yourself once you get all that clown shit off your face.

P.S. depicting violence IS NOT the same as glorifying violence of any kind. Depicting anything in a film is not the same as glorifying whatever that thing is. Glorification depends on intention. Maybe in the future I’ll make a piece about “intent” but I think this one is heavy enough. If you’re crying, hopefully those tears make it easier to scrub all that clown makeup off of your face. Witcho clown ass.
