IS THIS YOUR ENTERTAINMENT?!

To no surprise to me reality TV is still garbage. I don’t have to be an avid viewer of it like I used to be to know that. I’ve seen some pretty fucked up things that I at the time still tuned into it under the guise of “entertainment” but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a man strangle a woman on national television and no other man in that room do anything about it. And by anything I mean, beat his fucking ass. That’s crazy to me.

There’s layers to Vado’s assault on Tahiry, the obvious one being abuse. Then there’s the audience, the demographic of people watching this shit. That’d be black people. Lastly what’s upsetting about this situation is that THIS is what niggas consider to be entertainment and that’s really sad.

It’s In The Movies. It’s In The Music.

Then you grow up and see the wrong in these situations. It might still be in the movies, but “slapping a bitch” isn’t the abuse of women that can be heard in rap music, today. Still doesn’t justify what Vado did despite him going on the bird app in attempt to justify his actions.

“I get it y’all don’t kno me but those dat do know that I’m da most humblest mannered person there is.”

“Wit dat being said did I lose my cool? Yes I did cause regardless of what I should had never grabbed her by her clothes. “As a man we suppose to protect our lady.”

“Period… Even if they taking ur kindness for weakness but continue to watch the show u will see who was the aggressor.”

Nah, nigga. We saw the clip. I hate that I’m talking about this like I watch this bullshit show. I’ve been far removed from reality TV, especially trash reality TV like this for over a decade now but I have to talk about it. Once again I find myself telling a bunch of adults 10–20 years older than I am how to behave. This should have been common sense, but I should know by now the majority of Americans are fucking stupid. THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR PUTTING YOUR HANDS ON A WOMAN AS A MAN UNLESS YOUR LIFE IS IN GRAVE DANGER! Vado’s life clearly wasn’t. All this lying adults do when they are caught on camera doing/saying something is insanely childish and pretty fucking maddening to see. This is a man who called himself the most humble person in the world before admitting wrong doing followed up with a promotion of the show on some “next time on Dragon Ball Z” shit. Reality TV “stars” want viewers to believe it is real, but want to avoid real life consequences and judgement for their actions. Whether this shit was scripted or not, this shit is still disgusting on many levels. Like I said before, it’s black people watching this shit. It’s black people yelling at TV’s over this dumb shit but at the end of the day those same folks are still going watching this show and others like it.

Years ago I retired from being the black alarm clock. I’m not making it my business anymore to wake niggas up. My job now (or at least of them) is to state my opinion on anything I have an opinion on. That’s what I’m doing here. I’m taking the lead by example approach because it is much easier to just do you effortlessly than to force people to think the way you do. If people like this kind of “entertainment” fine, I guess. Just don’t scream foul play when you’re the reason why this shit is still popular.
