Ageism, Again.

So I semi-kind of wrote about ageism before in a piece posted on here about Greta Thunberg https://medium.com/@ErnestRaw/stay-out-of-grown-folks-business-f10b59653191.

My stance on it still hasn’t changed and I don’t think it will. I believe both old and young people are victims of it. We can both learn from one another, and honestly young people need to understand they’re not always smarter than older folks because they haven’t experienced as much in life.

Old people, need a lot of help. I don’t mean physical help, I mean A LOT of help to understand the old way of doing things just isn’t cutting it anymore nor has it ever worked in their favor. They’ve just been conditioned to do believe that it works. Work until you die? Go to collage to work for someone else until you die? Go to collage to get a “good job” to pay off the debt you will be paying for until you die… this doesn’t sound like a life worth living. I’m just saying.

Soon or later, boomers going to have to realize that the system isn’t designed to help the poor or “working class.” This system was made to fuck over the common man/woman since their days as a youth.

but brainwashing is a motherfucker and the older folks who don’t want to get it won’t get it. Same for the younger folks who don’t want to listen and learn.

My philosophy for both old and young people is life will teach you. It’s up to you if you learn from those lessons or continue being the dumb young or old fuck that you are now, if you are a dumb fuck who doesn’t listen because you think you know it all or you think you know better.
